In Genesis 3:8-13 we see that instead of asking for forgiveness and humbly repenting, Adam blames everyone but himself. Adam, the leader, has set the tone for his family and Eve quickly follows with blaming the serpent. The blame game will be played by all of Adam's descendants and causes mankind to lose sight of the main problem of the heart.
